Technology, Innovation, and Education

These three words are becoming more meaningful and required as the time advances. Everyone from social networking sites to smartphone software developers, major media companies and start-ups, and throughout K–12, university, and informal learning environments are now seeking people who fill these requirements. The best tech-related companies look for people who excel in designing media content, developing entrepreneurial innovations in educational practice and policy, and evaluating technology’s impact on learning and development.

The new era of technology has come and people are pursuing meaningful and rewarding careers in virtually every area where technology supports learning, such as designing educational apps, creating public and commercial media programs, leading entrepreneurial startups, developing museum exhibits, teaching and administration from preschools to graduate schools, and conducting research and evaluation on new projects and products.

Currently I am aware of leading universities that have available academic programs open to everybody who wishes to learn these three fundamental subjects. Universities all over the USA and the world are opening courses and adjusting to the current worlds demand for interpreters and innovators in leading enterprises.

Technology, Innovation, and Education are simply the keys for prospering in today's modern world. All of these important subjects are being applied to virtually any company you can think of. You can say that the world is revolving around technology and will continue to do so. The average human being is now being taught at higher standards, raising the bar for everyone else and giving an opportunity to advance as a city, state, country or even continent.

What is your take on these leading subjects? Do you think they are important for an individual? Should they be everyone´s personal standard to reach such knowledge? Leave your comment below!

GTA 5 could be the most expensive video game out yet!

Turns out that Grand Theft Auto 5 could be the most expensive video game ever created in video game history with total development and marketing spend hitting £170 million , according to a new report.
Scottish newspaper The Scotsman states that "the game's development and marketing budget of £170 / roughly $265 million U.S. dollars" makes it "the equivalent of blockbuster films". Compared to Hollywood movies it comes second to Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End. The movie had a $300 million dollar budget.
Though the split between marketing and development hasn't been defined, if accurate, the launch budget pits GTA 5 as one of the most expensive games ever made.
In comparison, 2009 release Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is estimated to have launched to a $200m (£127m) development and marketing budget.
The report also claims that GTA could sell 25 million copies within the first 12 months, racking up sales of £1billion. The total pre-orders is said to have received 2.5 million ahead of its September 17 launch on PS3 and Xbox 360.
GTA 5 is expected to break opening week sales records in the UK and the U.S.A., with first week sales expected to pass the 2 million milestone achieved by current record holder Call of Duty: Black Ops.
According to a previous report, UK retailers have been allocated a huge 3 million units for the game's launch next Tuesday, September 17.

Ryse: Son of Rome Gladiator Multiplayer Announced

Ryse: Son of Rome to me is one of the most anticipated launch-day titles for Xbox One. The new information that gets released along with the new trailers just keep getting better and better. Ryse: Son of Rome is definitely one game you don't want to miss out on. There is even a special reward for all of you out there that picks up a copy of the Day One Edition of the game! More below:
According to Crytek: “Ryse offers a large variety of armour, weapons, shields, and consumables to customize your own unique gladiator.
“These items are earned through gold rewarded from victories in combat and impact your stats by improving your focus, XP, crowd reaction, and health. Consumables are elixirs that have a temporary effect, such as improving health or allowing instant kills.”
Players will be able to play cooperatively with friends and do battle against hordes of enemies in the Roman Coliseum. Arenas feature “dynamic tile sets”, movable tiles that make hidden obstacles and scenery rise from the floor. This allows for a variety of battle scenarios, such as strongholds, ruins, and naval arenas.
Ryse will ship with 11 multiplayer maps, with an additional exclusive map for everyone who picks up the Day One Edition of the game. The combat in Ryse’s has raised questions in the past due to its apparent reliance on Quick Time Events. Those are in evidence in the newest trailer, but we also see combat that looks a lot more fluid and deep.
Here are the details, courtesy of Crytek:

  • Be Your Own Hero. Ryse offers a large variety of armor, weapons, shields, and consumables to customize your own unique gladiator. These items are earned through gold rewarded from victories in combat and impact your stats by improving your focus, XP, crowd reaction, and health. Consumables are elixirs that have a temporary effect, such as improving health or allowing instant kills.
  • Dynamic Tile Sets. Inspired by the movable floor pieces used to re-create historic battles in the ancient Colosseum, “Ryse” uses dynamic “tile sets” of scenery to provide a continuous stream of unpredictable challenges. Scenery hidden in the hypogeum literally erupts from the floor, providing players with settings ranging from strongholds, to ruins, to naval battles.
  • Custom Challenges and Arenas. Ryse allows you to create your own experiences by using the challenge editor to mix and match the maps and events into custom playlists. Each challenge has its own leaderboard and the more players who have played, the higher the reward at the end of the challenge.
  • 11 multiplayer maps at launch. Plus an additional bonus map for those who purchase the Day One edition of the game. At Gamescom, Crytek showcased the following:
    • Courtyard is an open environment highlighting the dynamic nature of the Colosseum. With each wave new dangers are introduced to the Arena, from flaming pits, to deadly traps, to automated catapults.
    • Stronghold shows off the ability to completely change the environment, re-creating a battle between Roman forces and the barbarian hordes in the distant pagan lands of Germania.
  • Attacks and Timing. The basis for all combat is a mastery of timing of attacks and blocks: the tighter the timing the better the player will perform. For example, a perfectly timed block will not only deflect an incoming attack but also throw the enemy wide open, making the counter attack much more effective. And the shield is not just for blocking; it can be just as potent as the sword if used correctly.
  • Executions. When an enemy has been nearly defeated, an Execution can be enabled to finish them off. These are made up of a series of timed blows using either the sword or the shield, with associated rewards that can be assigned to different perks. There are three Execution Tiers; players must open up the higher level tiers to experience the most dramatic Executions. There are well over 100 different Executions in the game: some are location-sensitive, like dropping an enemy on a conveniently-placed spike or kicking them off a wall; and some are performed by executing multiple enemies at the same time. There are also special combo-Executions that can be performed in co-op mode.
  • Perks. The Perk system lets the player decide which rewards they want from hitting the execution timing windows. They can choose between increased damage, XP, health and Focus. When Focus is sufficiently built up the player can trigger a large area effect that slows enemies. In Gladiator Mode, perks are assigned based on which god players choose at the beginning of the match, and players can receive benefit from their partner’s perk if they are nearby.
  • Combo Counter & Execution Tiers. Each successful hit without taking damage increases the combo counter when the player crosses certain combo thresholds they move up an execution tier.
  • Ranged Weapons. The basic ranged weapon is a pilum (javelin), but scorpios (huge crossbows) can also be encountered.

Ryse: Son of Rome is in development at Crytek and is an Xbox One launch exclusive. Currently it is scheduled for release at the Xbox One launch day.
I am definitely going to be purchasing this awesome game on its launch! What is your opinion about this game? Will you be picking up a copy for yourself?
